here are more than 15 departments in our church. As directed
by the general conference these departments are lead by
responsible church members that form the church board along
with the pastor, elders, and deacons. Each department
has a different function. For example the greeters are
responsible for greeting people at the church doors on Sabbath
morning. Currently there are four departments
represented. Eventually you will be able to mouse over the
department link to your left to go to other departments

Health & Temperance Department
Function
Health Ministries is believed
to be the right hand of the gospel. It works in collaboration
with other ministries within the church, to effectively herald
the 3-Angel’s message and the message of health.
The
main objective is to make Christ known by ministering to the
physical, mental, and spiritual needs of the church and the
community. Our goal for each member and for
the community is to be HEALTHY, HAPPY, AND HOLY,
which echoes that of
3 John 2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest
prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosperth.”
Target group
Health Ministry is
committed to promoting optimal levels of health to men, women,
and children in our church and the surrounding community; by
educating them on ways to prevent disease and ways to
effectively manage existing health conditions.
It is dedicated to fulfilling the commission of Christ
in Matthew 28:20, “Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you.”
Short-term Goals
Health Ministry offers a
variety of wellness programs/activities that promote abundant
health. The study of the Biblical principles and Spirit of
Prophecy counsels on health and temperance are encouraged, as
well as, the practice of principles in healthful living. The
programs are an ongoing witness of the benefits of making
healthy lifestyle choices. The effectiveness of Health
Ministries is measured from personal testimonials of changes in
lifestyle and improved quality of life, as a result of healthy
choices.

Hospitality
Department Ministry
The Primer function of the Hospitality Department is to
provide fellowship and friendship to visitors that they may feel
welcome in our congregation and have a desire to come back to
visit us again. Secondly, The Department encourages
members (new and old) to be a part or the church family. This we
accomplish by developing friendships through our fellowship
lunches and potlucks. Finally, the department encourages
members to open their homes to show hospitality to visitors and
church family members.
The Hospitality
Department caters to every age group or sex. It caters to
families, by providing an ambiance for fellowship after our
church services. Each S.S. class is scheduled to host a potluck
lunch on a given Sabbath to encourage fellowship among the
members of the class and at the same time provide lunch for our
visitors.
For the upcoming
term our goal is to see our church as the friendliest, most
hospitable and spiritual of this conference. And through our
fellowship increase our Sabbath School attendance.
